FAQs – OAD4x4 Roof Racks

Does my vehicle need Roof Rails to install these Cross Bars?

Yes. To install our cross bars, your vehicle must already be fitted with longitudinal roof rails (the rails that run from the front to the back of your roof). Once you have confirmed your car has rails, you just need to identify the style:

Flush Rails: These sit tight against the car roof with no gap between the rail and the car body.
Raised Rails: These sit higher, with a clear, visible gap between the rail and the roof (allowing you to slide your hand underneath).

Still not sure? Just snap a quick photo of your car roof and message our support team—we’ll let you know which one fits!

What if I can’t find a listing specifically for my car model?

Don’t worry! We offer Universal Cross Bars that fit a wide range of vehicles. You don't need a model-specific ad to find the right fit. Simply follow the guide in our listings to confirm whether you have Raised or Flush rails, then select the appropriate size based on your rail-to-rail measurements.

If you encounter any issues or aren't sure which size to choose, please contact our professional support team. We’re here to help you get the perfect setup for your vehicle.

What is the maximum load capacity?

These 4wd cross bars are engineered for a static load capacity of 80kg. Note: We always recommend checking your vehicle manufacturer’s manual for your specific roof weight limit.

Are these roof racks compatible with other accessories?

Yes. Our cross bars feature a standard aerodynamic profile, making them compatible with the vast majority of roof rack accessories on the market. Whether you want to mount roof boxes, bike carriers, kayak cradles, or luggage trays, our bars provide a stable and secure foundation.

Is installation easy to do myself?

Absolutely. There’s no need for a professional mechanic. We include all required tools and easy-to-follow instructions. Most customers complete the setup in under 15 minutes.

How does the anti-theft system work?

Each set includes an integrated locking system on the end caps. You’ll receive a set of keys to lock the racks securely to your vehicle, giving you peace of mind at beach car parks, trailheads, or campsites.

Will installing roof racks increase wind noise?

OAD4x4 roof racks are aerodynamically designed to minimize wind noise. However, some noise may still be noticeable at high speeds. To reduce noise, ensure the racks are properly installed and consider using a wind deflector.

If you're not using the roof racks regularly, removing them when not in use can help reduce wind resistance and improve fuel efficiency.

What is the return policy for roof racks?

We want you to shop with complete confidence. If for any reason you change your mind, we offer a 30-day return policy. To be eligible for a refund, the item must be in brand-new, unused condition and returned in its original packaging.
